A quick explanation of some prepositions.

(A) House prices increased BY 20%: – ‘BY’ is used to describe the amount of increase.

(B) Audience Figures decreased FROM 40% TO 20%: ‘FROM … TO …’ is used to describe the starting and finishing points.

(C) Unemployment rates remained stable AT 20%: – ‘AT’ is used to describe one specific point.
